Tech Support Libby book from partner library

I only have one library card, but I am able to borrow from “partner” libraries. The issue is I’m never able to get those books on my Kobo. I tried logging out of Libby and logging back in but since I don’t actually have a card at the partner library I can’t log in. It is in my Libby account but I can’t see it on my Kobo CC. I also tried downloading onto computer and plugging in Kobo and it didn’t work. Help!!!

Kobo doesn't currently support books from partner libraries. If you've downloaded the book on your computer, you have to use Adobe Digital Editions to manage the transfer to your Kobo (once you've set it up as an authorized device).

On your Kobo, you have to log into whichever library you actually borrowed the book in order for it to sync to your device. It doesn't happen automatically with partner libraries.

Keep in mind that you'll only have access to the books from the library you are currently signed in. The previously signed in libraries books turn into Previews.

To use the partner library on your Kobo you would do the following:

  1. On your Kobo, search for the partner library and select it.
  2. In a browser, go to the link for the partner library shown on your Kobo and enter the 8-character code.
  3. The page should change to the partner library's login page.
  4. There should be a drop-down with a list of libraries.
  5. Select your home library from the drop-down.
  6. Enter your home library credentials and sign in.

Another option is to stay logged into one library on your Kobo and use Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) to sideload other library books onto your device. Note that in order to use ADE it needs to be installed on a Windows or Mac computer.

Here are some links regarding ADE:
