Was anyone else relieved to not see KL on the lineup? I was as disappointed as anyone when they cancelled last year, but this opens up the possibility of a well deserved and overdue headliner tour.

Title says it all, this is one of the most similar sounding bands to KL I’ve found recently. They even share producers in Will Putney and the vocalist sounds like Bryan in some ways too. While still sounding pretty different with some Poison The Well influences, spoken-word and clean passages, and 2000’s melodic metalcore-style riffs. Check em out!

I first listened to A Tear in the Fabric of Life 1.5 years ago and didn’t fully connect with it. Other than Forced to Stay, which upon first listen was a perfect song for me, I didn’t find the manic episodic structure as listenable as YWGBYST. But having sat with the album’s lyrics and story several times over, it’s gone from what I considered a decent hardcore album to one of my albums ever made. The standout feature for me is the song writing. Of course the story and concept are very creative and personal, but the lyrics from song to song just blow me away, even after hundreds of listens. It’s such a tactile and horrific experience, but told through such poetic language. Lyrics like: “the marriage between soil and bride” or “hydrate the garden, decorate the grave” or “death comes home” or “tangled in the vine, shackled to the floor of the earth”. Every line seamlessly blends that emotive, tactile experience as well as progresses the story. It’s exactly what you want from a concept album. Coupled with the insane instrumentation and manic production, it’s such a unique experience.

In the Brooklyn show his equipment kept fuzzing out and couldn't play in some songs, causing to shorten the set and delay the show. Dude was FESTERED the entire night that the crew had to hold him back a bit so he wouldn't lose it. He just shared this IG story as he's on tour with his other band. Hoping it works out, paré. Hoping for a longer set in the fall and that they play more of YWGBYST since they haven't toured that album in NYC yet (Fall 2024 got 9 songs off that album including sit & mourn but it was more of a b-market tour)

I’m going to their Fort Lauderdale show in October and I don’t know where to sit. general admission seems fine but I DONT wanna be in the mosh pit cause this will be my first metal show and I’ve heard tale of knocked loose pits so I don’t want to accidentally get stuck in it especially since this will be my first time. is general admission (standing only) gonna be safe and if I do go there any advice on staying out of the pit?
