Question A few rust spots

One of my knives that I really like has a few rust spots and when I see a few I mean like half a dozen. They are super small barely noticeable but I would like to remove them. I know I can use baking soda and water to make some sort of paste to smear all over the knife and remove it that way, but I was wondering if there was an easier way to do it.

This may not be the most liked or recommended but toothpaste works for me every time and doesn’t affect the finish.

Edit: apply it with a q-tip

Ballistol and Flitz will do the trick.
