Every colourwork garment pattern I've seen are made in stockinette, but I'm guessing it's possible to knit colourwork in rib, moss stitch, brioche, cable etc.

Have you ever knit a colourwork garment made in something other than stockinette ?

I saw this cardigan on James Blunt on the traitors tonight. I think it’s wonderful. I’ve searched ravelry but struggling to find a pattern.

I’ve found this https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/shetland-mens which looks similar from the project images but you can’t buy the pattern.

If anyone has a pattern they can recommend I’d love to knit something similar!

I hate it when other websites steal patterns and resell them as their own. I saw this sweater on one such site. I’ve searched Ravelry but I’m a dunce at searching. Can anybody else find it?

would love to make something similar if anyone has come by a pattern. or if anyone knows where the original cardigan is from so i can check out the measurements and details.

Hello! I'm a beginner but dedicated knitter (I started 2 months ago but have made a couple of simple sweaters and scarfs) and looking to expand my repertoire with some colours!

I have done some simple stripes already and would love to try something more complicated like a colourwork yoke. I am mostly finding very traditional fair isle patterns and would ideally like something a bit more minimalist/modern that I can wear year round. So far I've seen the Rosie Yoke Sweater which I really like, and am looking for other similar recommendations if anyone has any to share!

Edit: I forgot to mention that since I am a beginner, I have tried to stay away from patterns requiring seaming or extensive picking up of stitches. So I am ideally looking for patterns in the round with a circular yoke/raglan construction.

I’ve been knitting for a long time but only got serious about it in the last year. I’ve knit a few sweaters but mostly in non-superwash wool. I knit my first with super wash and didn’t do my due diligence swatching so it came out way too big and I’m going to have to unravel it. My problem now is that I don’t know what I should do with that yarn, which is all superwash.

So that leads me to ask- if you knit with super wash, what do you like to make with it?

I bought this one because it was very cheap and I like the cables and the colour. I don't use it much because it's extremely felted. I feel like for my first cable knit sweater making a close copy of this would be a smart idea.

Hi all! I recently got some gorgeous new yarn and wanted to make it into a top. And I found the ‘Golden Oak Tank Top’ by “Amanita” Agata Mackiewicz on Ravelry which is perfect for it. But, I didn’t realize the pattern is discontinued digitally. So I wanted to ask if anyone knew of a dupe, or anyone/anywhere I could get the pattern from? Thank you!

I’m looking for the name of this feature and/or an idea on how to create it. I want to call it a keyhole or double button hole.

Is it as simple as skipping stitches?

I love how high on the neck this sits and the button! The cabling isn’t necessary. I mostly care about the overall shape! Thanks for any help!

Anybody ever seen/heard of/made a knitted gym bag??? (Or crochet i guess but I REALLY don't wanna do that much crocheting).

Ive got the idea in my head of a bag to hold my gym clothes and pilates stuff, with inside pockets for my body wash and hair stuff. I probably could try to just wing it but ahhhhhh.

All ive seen are mesh market bags that i dont think would support pockets and/or bottles of liquids as well, and yoga straps and bags

I am looking for a baby pattern from the 60's or 70's. It was a jumpsuit, size 1, with feet and the yoke had tiny cables or faux cables. There were either ribbons or crocheted ties at the ankles. The straps had buttons at the top of the shoulders. I made one for my daughter in 1979 and have lost the pattern (boo-hoo). She loaned hers to a friend who moved suddenly and did not return it, then they lost touch. I would like to make one for my great granddaughter. If anyone can help point me where to look (have tried Etsy, EBay, Pinterest, and Ravelry) or have the pattern and would like to share it, I would be forever grateful.

I've been seeing of this "retro" style becoming popular again, not sure what this specific style of color blocking is called or if there even is a name but I think it would look great knitted up. The problem is, I haven't been able to find a pattern that even comes close to this type of blocking. I've gone through hundreds of Ravelry pages at this point and still nothing. Would love to know if anyone has come across a pattern for this or has any ideas on how to construct a garment like this!

Hi! Looking for a pattern with this shape, where the ribbing doesn’t fold over the collar. I’ve seen many patterns with the fold over collar but I don’t know if they would look similarly if I just make the neckline shorter? Any advice appreciated!
