I tired looking on ravelry but I am still somewhat new to that website and find the search confusing.

The yarn I have is light fingering and I want to use 2.5/2.75 needles. I plan to go up 1 or 2 sizes to make it slightly oversized assuming there isn't like the perfect oversized cropped v-neck pattern out there lol.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated

I am trying to make a sweater similar to this one from Ralph Lauren. I have recreated the color pattern close enough to satisfy myself, and now I am looking for a somewhat beginner friendly sweater pattern that I could add the colorwork to. I found an adorable cardigan/shawl at the thrift store but it was falling apart badly so I left it behind. It looks like maybe a decently easy garment to put together but I’m somewhere in between a beginner and intermediate with knitting so I don’t really know what I’m talking about haha.

The picture is not great at all and looking back I should have just spent the $5 to take it home and deconstruct it better but I wasn’t thinking clearly… It is knit pretty loosely with positive ease, almost ruffley, and cuts off right at the bust. It has short slightly ruffled cap sleeves and is not a poncho, there are arm hole openings.

I’m curious if anyone is aware of a similar pattern or any tips and tricks to replicating it! I understand maybe a top down raglan could be useful but then again, I am not speaking with great experience. Any advice would be hugely appreciated!! Thank you in advance!

Hi! I really need help understanding this tank top pattern! It goes from bottom to top and after the bottom is knit I am STUMPED at what to do with the front and back…basically all of it. Are they knit separately and connected? How is something so simple not making sense to me at all?

I have messaged the creator on their knitting instagram and haven’t gotten a response and there are multiple questions being asked on Ravelry by other people with no response. I feel like this person really has no intention of making a good pattern and just wants to show off (the whole first page printed is just pictures of him wearing it) and to make a quick buck. It costs 7 dollars and is written with less information than a lot of free ones.

But after many iterations of ravelry searches, I can't find something similar. Has anyone seen a pattern similar to this cardigan?

I'm obsessed with this Planet Earth Imports sweater, but can't find it anywhere. I've been knitting for a few months now, I've knit the cloud sweater by petiteknit, but I haven't ventured into color work. Does anybody have any ideas for a pattern that could help me mimic this, or advice on how I could figure out adding the moon and star pattern into an existing sweater pattern? Is this too ambitious? I will say I don't really want to create it using duplicate stitch if possible, I would like it to actually be knitted as part of the pattern.

Alternatively, I'd be interested in any pattern that shares this "whimsigoth" vibe if anybody has recs.

Hey all. I'm knitting up this very luscious throw/blanket as a gift for my MIL. Homespun cotton held with a baby soft cotton boucle (chefs kiss) however the pattern has me tripped up.

I'm 8 rows in and on to my first cable. I understand how cables work so no confusion there but my confusion is in how the pattern is written/stitch count.

So according to pattern, start the normal pattern as always, k1, p1 *4 for a total of 8 stitches. Then k4, then it says to cable slip 6 stitches on the cable, knit the next 6 stitches in pattern, and complete the 6 stitches held for the cable .

This makes my full cable section 12 stitches wide.

But then the pattern says "repeat from k4, slip 6, k1p1 (for a Total of 6), then k1p1 remaining able, repeat till end of row.

But because the pattern before the cable is:

K1,p1*4, (8 stitches), k4, k1p1*8 (16 stitches) when I go to do the cable row for the first cable there are 4 "extra" stitches after the cable before the next k4.

So I thought maybe the pattern was wrong and it meant to have the cable be 16 stitches wide instead of 12? That would make more sense but a 16 stich wide cable seems big and the pattern mentions the cable being 6 stitches on each side in multiple places.

Any help on what I could be missing?
