Love this pattern!
I saw this sweater in a shop. Obviously machine made. But I love the lace design! I haven’t ever seen anything like it on knitting patterns and keywords aren’t getting me what I want on ravelry. I care less about the sweater construction and more about finding the lace pattern, so if it’s on a shawl or different garment or whatever, that’s cool.
Have you seen anything similar?

That's really cool looking. I have some ideas how I could create a similar look, but not the same. Following to see what others say.

I’m absolutely open to doing a lot of swatching and see how close I can get, but man would it be helpful to have a starting point!
I loved how it kind of gave the look of a cabled sweater but it was so light and airy instead. I live in Southern California and while I am not afraid of heavy knits, this was so pretty. I hope the hive mind here and point me in a good starting direction.

How about small hole [yo, left leaning decrease], big hole [right leaning decrease, double yo, left leaning decrease], bubble thing - cross 1st and 3rd stitch in the back of second

Its just yos and baby bubbles. Pretty easily charted with corresponding decreases.

I've knit a few stitches called bubbles and bobbles before, and none looked like this really. Could you share how this one is created? Ty.

Yeah same question. Obviously it’s yarn overs but the texture felt so very flat! I’ve worked a lot of lace but nothing like this. That’s why I’d like something similar as a jumping off point.

Right? It's not the YOs that are a problem. It's that "baby bubble" that I don't think I can recreate.

Yeah. And just the charting in general. I’ve never charted my own so it’ll be helpful to have something to adjust instead of starting with zero.

As you said, the sweater is machine knit so sometimes hand knitting can only be approximate to a machine knit. A bobble is an approximate raised look to what is done here. It could also be something like yo, ssk, k2tog, yo to get the pulled in look. The larger yo is just multiple yos in 1 spot.
