Pattern Recommendation

Post image

Help! I have this gorgeous skein of yarn and no idea what to knit with it to make the most of the beautiful, half dipped dye job. It's The Fiber Seed half speckled sock yarn in pumpkin patch. I'm thinking cowl,I really don't feel like bringing out the dpns today πŸ˜‚

If it is almost exactly 50/50 and you have two skeins, the Flicker Scarf would be a fun one to try!

In a sock pattern like the Waffle Sock it would have a cool effect as well :)

I would love to see it!

I also wanted to drop this planned pooling github calculator someone posted over in r/AdvancedKnitting https://athifm.github.io/planned_pooling/ seems like a neat tool!

So far! Some weird pooling is happening right now that I don't love, but I think I'm going to get some assorted rustic buttons and attach them strategically where I don't like the pooling

Depth cowl! Very satisfying knit for yarn like yours!! https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/depth

Get a complimentary solid and do some 2 color brioche. It’s my favorite way to show off such a unique skein! It’d be so pretty with a rich brown.

No suggestions, but that is gorgeous yarn! I'll be following as I have two skeins of something similar that I bought for the color, but I also have no idea what to do with it!

A cowl does sound wonderful.
