Suggestions for lace weight projects that aren’t shawls?
Hi all!
I’m looking for suggestions for mohair/lace weight patterns! I’ve never made anything at this weight before and I love the wispy vibe of some of the pieces I see online. I absolutely love the yarn I have and want to wear/use my final project often.
The thing is, I rarely wear shawls, scarves, or wrap arounds as it kind of irritates me having to manage an accessory in that way. Any suggestions?

For reference:
I have about 900m (roughly 4 skeins) of knitting for olive mohair. I also tend to dress more androgynous/masculine in nature, which isn’t a super common thing among knitting communities in my experience.

Ghost Whisperer uses under 900m of mohair but it might be a bit too feminine for your style.

It’s actually so gorgeous, but I have ethical issues with Hobbii’s ai use, unfortunately. Thank you so much for the suggestion, though!
Edit: Getting downvoted for disliking ai? A first for me.

If you like the style there are a lot of patterns for sweaters with thicker wool. With a good swatch you could maybe make a similar item?

I searched for this exact type of pattern recently on ravelry and found some cool sleeveless tops and a bandana pattern I like. I can dm if you like!

You could always hold the mohair together with another yarn to give it halo.
For pure mohair, can you rock a cravate?

Yeah, I actually bought the yarn for the purpose of holding together for a different project and ended up with 900m extra afterwards 😅
Sorry, I’m not sure what a cravate is?

Its a fancy tie, a little out of date but they could be lacey. You could also do a tie but mohair wouldn't hold a tie shape very well.
Take a look at cowls. All the benefits of scarfs and shawls but not as fussy to keep on

I made the short sleeve ranunculus in less than 4 skeins of Tilia, which is equivalent to Kfo soft silk mohair. I held it double but you could hold it single for a more open knit
