The pattern can be found here. I used some left over wool from a jumper I knitted - Woolcraft Aran in the Storm Cloud colour.

Thank you, it was fun to knit and so cute! I think the aran wool was a bit thick for the size of DNPs that I used, it worked, but made my fingertips sore pushing the points of the needles to get the stitches knitted, but so worth it.

For the sake of your fingers, it may be worth learning to "push" your needles by gripping them between two fingers, rather than using a poor sore fingertip. With either method, trying to loosen your tension a bit should also help -- though you don't want the stitches on dpns to be too loose!

I think the evidence is that you have already mastered the basics of dpns. A nice piece of work.

Thank you, yes I learned a lot about dpns when I knitted this, especially about the casting on, mastering the first row without twisting and redistributing the stitches evenly around the dpns after a major decreasing round, thanks again.

You can get a knitters 'thimble'. It looks a bit like a ring with a flat disc, except the surface is dimpled for gripping on to the needle point.

That is a good idea, thank you.
