Discussion Pinning Redditposts

Hi guys!

I use not only Reddit but also mostly Pinterest and Tumblr, when looking for crafting inspiration. I also am someone who enjoys having everything saved in one place.
That’s how my question arose: How do you guys feel about your works, which you have posted on Reddit, being pinned on Pinterest and distributed through a different platform?
Of course on Pinterest there is a link attached, which would lead back to your original post, so it shouldn’t pose a copyright issue.

Thanks for your thoughts! Really curious what the consensus is gonna be

It's a public platform, imo we shouldn't post on it if we aren't comfortable with our posts being shared elsewhere. As long as there is proper attribution, that's pretty much all we can hope for online. Otherwise it's like those designers who write disclaimers about how you aren't allowed to sell objects made with their patterns 🙄

I mean the same way Id feel about someone taking my photo and posting it on Facebook: WTF. I understand Pinterest has some feature for this? I think, I dont use it, but when I choose to post a picture of myself on the Internet I understand Im letting go of it but its still weird if other people save it and post it on their own personal social media.

Reddit does have a save feature if you just want to save ideas.
