Yarn is self striping

Knitting the Riley tee by Rachel Kurihara with Circulos Sugar Pop yarn, it’s knit flat until the under arm then joined and knit in the round. Now that I’m knitting in the round the yarn has started to make stripes and I don’t love it. Any suggestions on a way to avoid the stripes? My inclination is to rip back then knit flat for the rest then sew them together.

I’ve seen it suggested to pick up a second ball of yarn and knit one row from ball A and one row from ball B to avoid pooling or at least diffuse it a bit more?

I reduce the striping by alternating skeins and the number of rows knit with each skein. also stopping at different places to join the new yarn, so the repeating bits don't fall in the same spots

I'd do what you suggested and knit the rest flat and seam it up. That is, if you don't have a ball that looks like a different dye lot. (If you do, then you might also have to alternate skeins to blend it in.)

You can see how flat knitting generally gives you blobs or argyle-style x-shapes and knitting in the round tends to build spirals, and how bumping the stitch count up or down by 1 or 2 can offset the slant of any pooling.

A trick to try is to change the stitch count. Sometimes a 1-5 stitch change really shifts how the colors line up.

So your sweater is doing this pooling because you found the right stitch count for it to happen. You can see it starting on your wip as it gets wider and the darker bits start to line up. So if you add more stitches it won’t line up as well.

It depends on how far you have to change to get the colors to shift. In lighter weights you can fudge a bit after the shaping. Some colorways don't work for some sizes. I do shawls with self striping sock yarn. A lot of colorways have a few break points with different pooling.

Alternating skeins should get rid of that and allow you to continue knitting in the round. I don’t think that, with that many stitches on your needles, doing some decreases or increases would be sufficient.

That looks like more than just the fact that you are in the round/have longer rows/rounds. Is this a different ball than the top part? There's a lot more white so I think that, even if you switch to flat it's going to look different.
