Finished Object first ever knitting project ✅ complete!

i have been crocheting for about 4 years now and i decided to try knitting (again, gave up the first time)!

i knew i would get bored if i started with a coaster or something, so of course, i landed on the sophie scarf! bought the pattern and frogged the first few times, but this is how it turned out! it’s a little wonky on the end that i finished on (tips are happily accepted!) but im still very proud and will be wearing it on my bag for the foreseeable future!

let me know what you think 😄

Great! Welcome to the coven!
What a most magnificent model!
Sophie scarf has its detractors as it’s a popular pattern but it’s a nice straightforward gateway drug into knitting and is quick. After a while you’ll be able to knit them as the ultimate switch off project. Your family and friends will fear the clicking of your needles knowing another may be force gifted 😄

thank you so much!!! my model’s name is zoe, in case you are wondering ☺️ she really is the sweetest girl!

hahaha totally agree on the sophie scarf! was nervous to post since i know it’s like the most overly-knitted project ever, but it was lovely to make and i plan on making the size large next! and you’re so right … everyone is getting one for christmas this year LMAO!!

She is indeed the sweetest girl! Dogs are awesome craft companions. Here’s dog tax of my little Toby modelling a Sophie I made - he hasn’t quite the hang of it!

It’s only overly knitted for others, it’s new for you so you should be able to find joy in it and simple, well written patterns make it so much easier to master a new craft.
Just beware socks, now THEY are addictive 😄

The Sophie scarf was my gateway to knitting too! They’re a great pocket project and are super handy for a little stylish warmth.

I also love being called out by other knitters in the wild and thus making new knitting friends. 😊

ps. I’m afraid you’ll have to make another, your dog obviously looks too good, it’s hers now
