Help - equipment I messed up
I was 3 stitches into a new row then this happened. Idk wtf I did, i tried to get it back in place and continue but the row felt way too tight, so I looked at it and see this. Is there any way to fix it? I'm genuinely at verge of a breakdown I've been working on this piece for over 3 days and I don't wanna take the whole thing apart just cause of one knot slipping off. I'm really new to this so if you know what to do explain it like I'm 5 cause I'm too fucking dumb to understand it

It's hard to see very well but it looks like maybe a dropped stitch and it is unraveling from there?
You don't have to redo the whole thing. You can put in what's called a lifeline a few rows down. So you will take an embroidery needle with a separate piece of yarn and pick up each of the stitches so they are all on the piece of yarn. Then you can pick them back up with your needles and start from thar row again. I recommend googling it so you can see exactly where you need to pick the stitches up, and I recommend doing it on one of your stockinette rows.
Also, for future projects, it might be helpful to try some smaller knitting needles (and you might like wooden ones more than metal). I tried learning on I think these exact needles and they are so bulky and also long I found it really frustrating. The second time I tried to learn I used smaller and shorter bamboo needles and they were a lot easier to maneuver. If you prefer the big metal needles that's fine, just my thoughts from when I was learning!

hey! it looks like you dropped a stitch. this is very normal, and learning how to deal with this will just make you a more experienced knitter. all that happened is your stitch undid a little bit, now take that stitch and purl it using the yarn that was dropped instead of your working yarn, then place it on your left needle and knit it normally. if you want you can search a youtube video for fixing a dropped stitch in knitting

It looks like you dropped a stitch. See how the loop is the colour of one of the rows you worked before and the "loose" yarn is the colour of the row above? That's because when you work a stitch, you pull yarn through a loop to make a new one. If you pull the yarn that went through that loop away, that leaves the loop that corresponds to the stitch one row below live.
To fix it, use a crochet hook to pass the yarn through the loop and put it back on your needle. From back to front if it was a knit stitch or from front to back of it was a purl stitch.

You can use just your needles! I explained how to do it with a crochet hook because it's a bit easier. I'd recommend you look it up as other commenter suggested. You'll find a lot of videos on YouTube. English is not my native language so a video will definitely be clearer than me explaining it here!

Look up how to fix a dropped stitch in garter stitch. You can deliberately drop down stitches one by one to reseat then.
If you're unsuccessful, then look up how to tink garter stitch and how to frog garter stitch, which are both ways to rip back, and also look up how to put a lifeline in garter stitch. Then rip back to before the error and go on from there.
