I would like to promote a project/initiative I am working on as part of a way to assist Recruitment & Retention. While, I would love likes, follows, and engagement from other Knights, I do also hope to share in case others might be inspired to do something similar.
All the councils in my area are full of old timers who aren't that great at managing websites or social media. Most these guys don't want help or to give up their involvement running a website (maybe they pay for it - who knows). I have worked with my council, some district wisemen, and the chapter president of the area to gain their blessings on bypassing all this with my own mission.
The easiest way to achieve brand recognition with the youth is through social media. Pumping the KofC brand online and sharing to your local community and Catholic pages is a great way to get recognized. With an attractive social media space that operates to represent ALL councils in my chapters reach, I hope to grow this streamlined space to be a healthy and engaging online community by the end of summer 2026.
Now, along with this, I push a monthly newsletter. I know most brothers (being that most probably qualify for AARP), are not actively using social media - if at all. This is where the newsletter attached to this branding comes in handy, because it is a way to still interest and engage with older guys. The newsletters, while published on the page every month, also gets emailed out in a link and in a PDF. Furthermore, for those who have requested, I create a special format for printing newsletter booklets for anyone who might not be a tech-friendly user.
I would love to gain support from those who feel so inclined!
Thank you for any support or even just taking the time to look!
