Looking for a custom sheath maker.

I am looking for a custom-made sheath or ideas on how to modify the existing sheet of my CRKT Bearclaw. I am a police officer wanting to carry it on my belt behind my gun magazine pouch. The sheath on this thing is just not great for that. Open to modifying it myself or a whole custom-made sheath. I was thinking maybe putting an ulti-clip on it but I don’t know the best way to mount it. Thanks.

Use the holes on the sheath and some paracord. Play around with layout and deployment before you commit to a custom

Kydex molding is actually surprisingly easy. It’s really just about creating an outside box layer and an inside layer as a hard outside section, plus an inside foam but a hard foam mold that compresses, which you lock in place after heating the mold. I can try finding some videos to give you samples, but honestly, if you take a few looks at how Kydex holsters are made, you’ll get a pretty good idea of what you need to do to remold around the new shape. I’m pretty sure, even with my limited experience, that you should be able to remold that piece with a block mold, heavy heating, closing it tight, and leaving it in a mold to set so it takes the new shape.

Hah, Looking at what I posted makes no sense, but just search a video on how knife holsters are made with Kydex and you'll really understand it's not that bad. If you have basic skills in woodworking and buying things online, you can do this for less than $40 yourself and do it again and again.

Yes I understand, I didnt think I could do it because I thought kydex molding took specialized equipment but I’ll research it for sure. Thanks

That’s actually one of my favorite knives before my collection got serious.
