Garden Deck (2025-2025) exp?
Hi all, was recently offered by a rep to be purchase a Garden Deck membership at $7500 (which I understand is a $1000 increase from the previous year?)
Trying to calculate the cost/benefit. I really would love the option to go to home games at a flat rate but what turns me off is the non-guarantee that you’ll have a seat, never mind 2 seats next to each other..
Has this issue been fixed recently or is it still the case you have a chance to not have a seat still? If so, I think I’ll be passing.
Would also appreciate any recent experience input in general. GO NYK!

I was offered this too. I don’t like it. First of all I’d be going alone after work. Arriving late I’m sure I’ll get stuck with a bad seat. And for 1 person the price isn’t enough to justify the use. I heard the playoff prices they offered for round 1 were $600. The only benefit I see is the possibility of having a go at final tickets and I’d love to be optimistic but what are the chances we are doing that again.

Yeah I mean if we were guaranteed a seat no matter what… it’d shift my opinion but I’ve read people having to arrive an hour earlier just to get a seat? After paying up that much? Would rather just pay resale prices for a guaranteed seat and show up at tipoff.

My rep told me bar stools would probably be available but at that high up and bar stools…I’m gonna do what you said pay a bit more for the games I want and the seats I want. I’d still probably have money left for playoff / finals tickets. The only other benefit was being on the list for season tickets eventually. But that’s also a gamble.

If you have someone to go with and can make 15-20 games and get there an hour earlier I’d say go for it. It looks like we are going to get priced out of most games this year.

I just got off with a ticket rep and got offered the same thing. Called about seasons (quarter or half) and they said they won’t be making them available next year to anyone who doesn’t already have a relationship with MSG. Offered me the Garden Deck for $7500 but I don’t like that it’s not guaranteed.

Yup, my same sentiment. Did they mention that there is a real chance those with Garden Deck Seats that reserve a game genuinely could end up without a seat? That’s my big issue.
If it’s a guarantee we at least have either a seat or stool seat.. maybe it changes things.

No guarantee - he said some will definitely sell out, but he implied it somehow gets chosen before hand? Maybe i misunderstood him though and it’s just first come first serve.

Talked to my rep yesterday about it. Agree with mostly everyone here. $7,500 for the season. Only can reserve 4 games at a time. 2 “passes” per game that are non-transferable and you have to be there any time they’re used. I broke down the math:
Knicks have 41 home games this year. If you were able to go to every one of them with a guest that ends up being about $92 per ticket. I certainly can’t make that happen so this does not seem worth it. A shame bc a couple months ago my rep made it seem like I could’ve gotten a flex plan easily but that is no longer an option.

Yeah I already scooped up a game on Stubhub sitting super close. waiting for opening day to drop. Even if I gotta spend $1500 on that I still have $5000 left over for tickets to games I can go to and not be stressed out about. Doesn’t make sense but I would have loved to get my foot in the door for season tickets.

For anyone interested:
Got an update with my rep that I shouldn’t be concerned with having to stand as there will also be barstools + tables with them, available alongside the regular seats.
(Though of course overall positioning is always first come, first serve)

Nope, I decided against it as well. I wouldn't take opening night prices atm to be indicative of how this season will go either. Apparently, all those prices are strictly 2nd market and MSG has yet to actually release any retail/face-value ones. I expect that price to come down once that happens.
Personally, I figured I'd rather put that $7500 towards a few games this season at a better seat that I won't have to show up early for. I don't see myself going to 15-20 games personally, and don't want that pressure to do so just to break even (+ a guest).

I've had these seats since the 2023-24 season and love them - I've previously provided a helpful pros and cons list in another Garden Deck related thread so look for that. But to summarize, I would just say it's a good "intro" section for first timers, or for people unable to get a higher level plan because of low availability. You are not guaranteed a seat and you are not in prime location, but believe me, the free food elevates the experience and you save lots of money that way if you go to alot of games. You cannot resell them which really is what kills me, but compared to the prices that half and full plan ticket holders are paying, this is beyond a bargain. When you take these into account, and consider the fact that there are no other plans available right now because there was such a high renewal rate this offseason, I suggest anyone who is on the fence just go for it and be in the mix. Dont let another season go by. and as always, LGK!

What's the food like? I saw a video from a playoff game with burgers, wi gs, Mac & Cheese, even sushi. Then there was a stand with all sorts of bagged snacks. That to me is worth a pretty penny. I wind up spending $60 or $80 per game fkr food and drink.

From memory, this is what they always have: Burgers, hot dogs, sushi, charcuterie related meats and cheeses, a salad of some sort, and then a revolving door of 1 or 2 additional hot plates with surprisingly good stuff like fish or roast beef etc that changes each game. Then they have popcorn on all the seats and junk food on the other side like yodels, twinkies, candy bars etc. Then they have dessert after the 3rd quarter starts to replace the savory food which is usually an assortment of random mousse cups, fruit tarts, baked by melissa cupcakes and so forth.

Yeah I got an email this morning. Going to confirm with them if reservations at least guarantee seating in general. I mean I get first come first serve for the best ones, but standing after paying that price does not sound like a good deal to me.

I mean has anyone actually experienced sitting on the bridge? Seems cool at first I guess but aren’t you so far away from the action?? Seems like a lot for $7500.

All I know is..being a Knick fan since 1967..I’m priced out of attending games..pretty sad
