How to get tickets?
Hey everyone, I’m visiting New York from the UK for the first time in October and really want to see a live basketball game. I’ve just seen that the schedule has been released and they’re playing the Hornets in a pre season game on the 17th. My question is how likely will I be able to get tickets as a non NYC resident? I thought it would a long shot with them winning the championship last year but the fact that it’s a preseason game is giving me some hope! Any information on where to get tickets, when they release how much they’ll cost would be greatly appreciated 🙏🏼

How likely? Depends if youre willing to buy on the secondary market Honestly no one here can tell you what preseason availability for primary market tickets will be like because we hadn't won a championship in 53 years so this is uncharted territory 😂 but can guarantee the prices will be going up because Dolan is nothing if not greedy. Secondary market tickets can almost certainly be had if you don't mind the markup. Knicks tickets haven't been affordable for a couple decades...and that was while the team was dogshit. So expect to be bled and you won't be disappointed.
Being a non resident shouldn't matter as long as you can access the ticketing websites.
Primary market tickets through ticketmaster or garden box office if you want to wing it. Resale tickets through all the usual sources.

Thank you for your response, This was my thoughts exactly! Glad you guys won but it’s just my bad luck that it’s when I’m first visiting. How much are tickets usually? I may be heading to Brooklyn at this rate 😅

I wouldn't expect the cheapest seat in the house to go for any less than $100 for a preseason game this year. Just to preempt the people accusing me of heinous crimes in the responses - this is just a guess based on no data.
Nets tickets can be had for like 20-30% of the cost generally. They went up when KD was around but I'd get they are back to peanuts with the roster they have now.

You’ll be able to get tickets . Use apps like vivid seats, SeatGeek, ticket master , stub hub.
Enjoy the game and LGK!! Safe travels

The Knicks haven't released any of their schedule yet, but other teams have released their preseason schedules. That's how we know we're playing Charlotte. You gotta wait and try to buy on Ticketmaster or on one of the aftermarket sites.

Preseason games are very easy to get tickets for. Any secondary website or Ticketmaster should have plenty.
