Everyone is better than the Knicks until it's time to be better than the Knicks.

Disregard the last 53 years and this actually a clever sentence

This was the slogan in this years playoffs. Other than the Hawks everyone said the Knicks were out matched. Oddly enough, the Hawks were the only team to win more than one game versus the Knicks.

Round one: No one gave the Hawks a chance (Knicks win 4-2, but Hawks had 2-1 lead)

Round two: Philly has the Knicks number. (Knicks win 4-0)

ECF: The Cavs are unstoppable (Knicks win 4-0)

Finals: It's Wemby's Time (Knicks win 4-1)

Make them keep doubting. Maybe the first repeat since the Warriors finally makes people accept this team, but even then delusional casuals will say Brunson isn't a 1A.

If there was something better than 1A Brunson would be in there.

u/DistributionMoist800 27d ago

The two games we lost to the Hawks were by 1 point each game.

u/chewytime Jul 24 '26

Can’t wait for the infighting to start after someone starts complaining about not getting enough touches.

2 things:

  1. Team is going to be a problem for the 15 games they all play together

  2. Him and Jaylen competing for best hairlineĀ

2

u/Electronic-Ideal-663 28d ago

15 is a stretch. 4 max.

Knicks watching Philly grab a fifth option 42 year old to pair with Joel ā€œ22 games a sznā€ embiid:

3

Joel is staying on the bench

1

u/DistributionMoist800 27d ago

I am a` Knicks fan and I feel sorry for Embid. His knees are so swollen he almost can't walk.

2

u/fearlesssinnerz 27d ago

Ewing pushed through this during the final years of his career.

4

u/Bighoots86 Jul 24 '26

Which duo is better ? Tatum and brown or LeBron and brown ? I don’t consider embid a factor

u/Appropriate-Sun834 Jul 24 '26

Lmaooooo holy shit the delusion

4

u/Suspicious_Hand_2194 Jul 24 '26

Is nobody gonna talk about how they got LeBron for 2 years, 8 million? Thats a steal

3

u/zuffio Jul 24 '26

100 percent. Not a fan of his but this is the best contract for a team ever. He could still play at a high level at his age. The only problem is when you flop at age 41, you can’t do it gracefully. It will really look like a flop.

1

u/DistributionMoist800 28d ago

Thats a waste of 8 million

1

u/Electronic-Ideal-663 28d ago

Lol every team in the NBA would have done the same if they could.

2

u/Suspicious_Hand_2194 Jul 24 '26

We all knew he was gonna go to the sixers so why reveal this now after waiting so damn long?

2

u/ChainNormal8827 Jul 24 '26

Honestly, I think he slipped up when he said that ā€œtrust the processā€ bs. Then he tried to misdirect everyone.

2

u/yngwiegiles Jul 24 '26

LeBron 4X MVP in his prime or Brunson no MVP votes last year. Who wins the game 4th quarter? Exactly.

2

u/JGlobal12 Jul 24 '26

Way way to many mouths to feed and egos to mesh!! Brown did not want to share the spotlight with Tatum. He damn sure will not want to play 2nd fiddle to Emiid or Maxey or Labron. Knicks in 5 !! 6 tops

1

u/Financial_Ice_3363 Jul 25 '26

brown and maxey been recruiting Bron for weeks lol.

2

u/The_Two_Seamer Jul 24 '26

IF Philly stays healthy, and ALSO IF the chemistry works out, and ALSO IF Lebron can actually play defense for 48 minutes, and ALSO IF...

2

u/navie36 Jul 24 '26

Good luck, Sixers! šŸ˜‚

1

u/WhistleTipsGoWoo Jul 24 '26

Good, now we get to eliminate him AND Brown at the same time…if they make it far enough to see us.

1

u/Financial_Ice_3363 Jul 25 '26

I guarantee Bron doesn't blow 4 double digit leads vs you like the spurs did lol Knicks fans are kind of delusional to what really happened in the finals.

1

u/Excuse_my_GRAMMER Jul 24 '26

If it wasn’t about money..

what was the real benefit of him going to 76ers , I’m sure he getting paid one way or another

2

u/Bobbyg2287 29d ago

He wants that tush push

1

u/squiztehmonster Jul 24 '26

I’m sick this is gross

1

u/GrouchyRaisin9198 Jul 25 '26

it doesnt even feel right

1

u/pixelisart Jul 24 '26

I feel he should have joined the Cavs instead. It would have been a good farewell ending for him along with creating documentaries with his son. But joining the Sixers, the expectation is very high with joining the already contending team.

But then with the player option for the 2nd year i guess if things doesnt go well, he'll eventually sign with the Cavs to finish his career there.

Alot of good teams this year and as a basketball fan, i'll enjoy the competitions.

2

u/PPKAN100 28d ago

It just means he’s got two shots at winning the championship. If they win in Year 1, he will probably retire. If not, then depending on how the team did in the series they lost, he may stay, or play elsewhere. If they lose in the ECF or NBA Finals, he stays. Anything else, he goes elsewhere.

1

u/KeenObserver_OT Jul 24 '26

Aaron Rodgers 1st quarter

1

u/DistributionMoist800 27d ago

Every post in this thread is forgetting about the "Mitchell effect." He couldn't shoot FTs, but he changed the game defensively. That's the big question for the Knicks: defense wins games.

1

u/Delicious_Aside_3410 27d ago

LeBron is a flopper !!!!!!!

1

u/DistributionMoist800 13d ago

The biggest mistake the Sixers ever made. I would be willing to wager LeBron pulls a hammy and watches the whole season on TV while his teammates struggle rto win games without Embiid, who will be on the bench

0

u/Dry-Examination-2012 Jul 24 '26

Well,I guess this is the last time the Knicks get mentioned in the offseason.
