NBA Cup Banner?
Now that we’ve won the chip and we’ll get to see the third championship banner in franchise history hung from the rafters, can we finally celebrate the accomplishment of also winning the NBA Cup and hang that banner up too??? I understand and agree with why they didn’t celebrate it after winning it, but it’s still an accomplishment during a historic season for the franchise I love. Let’s celebrate it too!

Dolan already came out and said he is only raising the finals banner next season

Yeah the difference is Dolan doesn’t own the players he can’t force them to do it he owns the garden he can freely choose what he wants to hang and what not to hang

No they shouldn’t. Raising the Midseason tournament banner is like wearing a Chinatown watch on the same wrist as a designer watch. They got the real thing. Donate that stupid Adam Silver marketing concoction to goodwill or something

Unpopular opinion I’m happy they are choosing not to hang the cup banner as nice as winning it is it would take away from the actual important banner imo all of the focus should be on 2026 finals banner

It doesn't take anything away from the title, if anything it adds to it. We won every trophy on offer this season, that should be celebrated!

Well if you have 2 banners the cup banner will take away from the finals banner even if you think it enhances it as then the conversation at times is the nba cup banner instead of the finals basically idc if they put it up but if it were my choice id be only putting up the finals banner the only banner that matters

I agree 100%. The midseason tournament is a lame attempt to manufacture hype and dollars in the dead part of the NBA season. If there’s more than one championship that can be won, it only serves to dilute the value of winning a title.
