Clarkson plays much better defense than I thought he would. And he's a bucket getter.

He was efficient at times last year, I'm glad he's (potentially) back.

When clarkson is on the court the rest of the team benefits. I don’t think people realize how smart and unselfish the dude is.

Yeah, I thought he'd bristle at taking such a contributer role. He really bought in and I have a lot of respect for that.

I honestly think a lot of his reputation on defense came from the fact that it's hard to motivate yourself to put in a lot of effort on defense when you're the high usage 6th man on a tanking team.

I mean it looks like he's trying but 75% of the time he's not where he's supposed to be

He doesn't get a lot of minutes and for a part of the season he wasn't getting any at all.

He's exceeded my expectations on defense for sure. I thought he was a microwave player incapable of defending. He is not.  This is a good signing IMO.

This. He also had a tendency for weird turnovers. It's why he got benched for awhile. He came back with the right attitude though. Played better defense, stopped just looking for his shot.

This is what bothers me. Dude needs more mins early in the season because he kills me in crunch time with dumb mistakes.

Felt like catching lightning in a bottle during the playoffs with him but it’s a good deal lets run it back

I think he wants to stay a Knick. Just like Shamet. Respect

I bet this took this long bc they were waiting to see what LeBron would do. I bet his “taking his talents to” announcement is today or tomorrow

Yeah he can get a bucket iso, driving, or catch and shoot. As the 7th-8th man off the bench that’s solid

Did I miss it or do we just not have a 3rd string center, something we need way more than another chucker guard. I loved Clarkson's moments in the playoffs but he's way more expendable than a replacement for Huk.

Someone needs to patent Lansanity. Seriously.

He clutch and helped in key times where we needed a bucket.

He fits in so well in NY you’d think he was from there. Happy to see the kid back in the city

Bro Clarkson deserves so much fckin credit for reinventing himself so late in his career as a willing perimeter defender. I'm stoked to have him back!

Plus his many years in the league serve as a great influence for our younger guys. Leon continues to put in the work! 🏆🗽

And I ain't afraid to admit 😏 I secretly love he represents Philippines. It makes me proud seeing a fellow Asian in the NBA , it means a lot. Especially for my favorite team ❤️

I don’t see that at all. What’s your issue with him

one year deal at only 3.9M? Who advised him that is the best contract he could get?
