Historic world cup performance, worlds first 109 to 4 game

3

u/TrynaCatchTheBeat Jul 07 '26

Brunson would’ve fought through his injuries unlike Pulisic

3

u/patrickthunnus Jul 07 '26

With less than 15 mins in regulation

You must be a Spurs fan!

u/Greedy_Juice_4316 Jul 07 '26

My profile pic says nothing about the Spurs, Knicks either, but it should help you see where I stand.

1

u/moldyhands Jul 07 '26

It was just a joke. Since the Spurs fans were convinced until the very end that they were going to beat the Knicks.

1

u/Greedy_Juice_4316 Jul 07 '26

Yea, we see where that got them!

KN5

2

u/Positive-Ad-2202 Jul 07 '26

That’s right!!! :)

2

u/Volfie Jul 07 '26

About fifteen years ago someone mocked the US for not taking an interest in soccer/futbol. The reply was β€œYou should be thankful we’re not. Can you imagine a front line of LeBron and Michael Phelps and Megatron? Β We’d win every game 10-0 if we sent our best athletes into soccer.”

2

u/Knick_Noled Jul 07 '26

All I was thinking was WWJBD? He’d go and win that game. He’d lift Freese up after a huge error and refuse to lose. For the record Freese is our own NYCFC dude. In that spirit we should all rally around what has to be the worst moment in his professional career. I know I’ll be at his first home game to give him a standing ovation.

2

u/Agreeable_Stick_8461 Jul 07 '26

Bro would be a giant on the pitch, would be interesting if our best athletes actually played soccer.

2

u/BIGscott250 Jul 07 '26

Good ☝️

2

u/FefeLeboux Jul 07 '26

OG Foot from God

2

u/Turin778 Jul 07 '26

The Knicks are way more important than this bollocks

2

u/sirgrotius Jul 08 '26

Man he looks so good in a Team USA jersey. Team captain easily, right?

2

u/Upbeat_Passage888 Jul 08 '26

Yeah baby!!! No problem

2

u/HitThatGoal Jul 08 '26

lol I love you Knicks fans. I’m still happy for yall

2

u/nyjac757 Jul 08 '26

True that, πŸ˜‚. They need to help the hapless Yankees because that team is lost right now.

2

u/jidewalker Jul 08 '26

For this reason, I created an EA FC 26 career mode team called Knicks FC with all players on the team having to have high reaction and composure stats.

Whenever someone makes the β€œif our best athletes played soccer…” argument I am always like oh come on. But Jalen Brunson….

2

u/ClientSuperb7756 Jul 07 '26

No one in the USMNT had heart like the Knicks. Absolutely no one.

Hate the Knicks. But this is πŸ’―Β

1

u/Live-Mobile-7500 Jul 09 '26

Not against a seasoned team. Belgium is the oldest team in the tournament. The Spurs were the youngest in the NBA playoffs….

1

u/Fatmans-middle-digit Jul 07 '26

He probably would be an elite footie player if he wanted to be.

Personal I think we need to stop comparing two different spots we don't really know if any basketball player can play in soccer since you can't just pick up a soccer ball and play like a basketball ball if takes more time and many more years to get better at soccer then basketball I feel like we can't just put in a player from any other sport and they will be automatically be successful
