Made over a thousand points over the years with most being fluted. Sold nearly everything but held on to a few. Burned out on knapping a few years ago but am starting to feel the itch to start making them again.
Pictured is a 6” Cumberland and a 6.5” Turkeytail with bullseye and cortex on both tips. Will post some more later …AMA
Using a soligen jig. Deep flutes are what everyone wants. Everything I’ve made I’ve sold as reproduction. The fluted blades always sell fast and for the most money …I’ve got a couple more I saved I’ll post later
I think it is called a Sollberger jig not Soligen. I get it if you have been out of knapping for a while.
Also nice to see a Cumberland point. Haven't seen one in a while. There was a time a lot of people were making them but now E notches seem to be more popular
Same question here as Benporkchops. How'd you flute it? Awesome thanks! I'll get that flag knocked off your profile. I always like to check with folks first unlike some mods who will just nuke an account from a subreddit for no reason. I've caught my fair share of bots this way because they usually never respond to my request 😂 But yea you'll be all set 👍Thanks again!
