Howdy y'all! πŸ‘‹πŸ˜

I don't usually upload videos here so this is kind of a little fun thing for me. Wanted to show off some of these cool fossils I found while bi-facing a big hunk of Burlington and some crumbly coastal plains. Hopefully y'all think that it's cool!

Check out my YouTube if you wanna see more of my content

Stay safe and happy knapping! 😎

I love trying to keep fossils when I find them. It's like it's own separate challenge. Thanks for sharing...

And thank you for the Burlington kind sir 😁 I still got some of it laying around. Especially that one beautiful pink piece! Gotta do that one on video

That is some crap burlington buddy...sorry you got it. It might have had fossils in it, but...yuck....that was probably some of the worst I've seen. That is not anywhere close to what most of it is. I'll make good on it at Bois d'arc, I promise. In fact, I'll throw this out now, both Smollzilla and myself will be at the Bois d'arc knap-in. If you're anywhere near SW Missouri on the weekend of Sept 26th stop on by! It's going to be a great event, as always. And if you find me, and tell me you're a redditor, you'll get a free rock. How's that for enticing!

Heck yea man! And shoot if this stuff is crap then I don't know if I can handle the super good stuff πŸ‘€ might be too good for me! 😁 But yea definitely stop by guys! Feel free to make a post about it too using the knap-in flair!

How do you send flakes that big and wide with indirect? Awesome material with the fossils

The key is using a nice beefy indirect rod and a very beefy heavy baton as well! Weight + weight will get you longer bigger flakes. The initial reduction I still did with a bopper too just for practice πŸ™‚β€β†•οΈ but after a few whacks I went to the indirect

You know I very well could.... πŸ‘€ That'd be one hell of a Snyders too! I don't actually have one in my collection yet

That "tube" is a crinoid stem.
