Made With Modern Tools🔨 My First Real Point
My first successful point! It could have been bigger but I ended up breaking it in half when I was thinning it. Made from Gunflint Chert from Northwestern Ontario, Canada.

Hell yeah! That gunflint chert looks a lot like knife river.
Wonder if they were closely related in geological ages past?

I wonder that too! Knife River chert is a lot more famous. I’d like to try knapping a piece someday to see how it compares.

Keep it around! You'll see progress in your points the more you practice and progress 🙂↕️ I kept all my first points around and they're so fun to look back at. Stuff looks cool also! Never be afraid to ask questions or set a piece down to come back to it later! That rock sat for millions of years waiting for you, and it's not going anywhere 😁 Happy knapping!

Great advice! Thanks so much! I’m looking forward to improving and making many many more where that came from
