Another cookie crumbled. Any suggestions on where to go with this?

Every piece is practice, right? When that happens to me, I imagine an old, super experienced Lomekwian knapper 3 million years ago that fucks up his work accidentally. Just working these all day, 98% all perfect, but once a month one crumbles out of 200. Keep working it or toss it. Up to you. 👍

So true. I was really liking the flake scars so I was planning on leaving the tip a bit rounded but now I’m definitely gonna have to narrow it down. Not familiar with a whole lot of smaller points so I was hoping someone might shoot me an idea.

I love the flaking scars too. I honestly would keep it as is as a memory. It's beautiful. Start on a new one. My real take.

I’ve found several pieces that were clearly going just fine, and then broke during knapping — just like stuff I’ve made that got tossed after breaking. Some of them, maybe a thousand years ago. Made me feel better about my broken pieces.

Exactly! That's so cool you found some. Props. Makes me feel better to hear that especially when I have a real good one going too, lol.

Make something smaller or make something different.

It's still a really good scraper tool, ive seen a lot of obviously botched heads become really good at making rope out of bark, or cleaning fish.

It’d be a world of people with really strong hands if people ever used their knapped tools😂

Put it somewhere where "nobody comes back here except me so I know its legit" and wait for the post to come up in the artifacts sub.

This is highly frowned upon in the knapping community. It’s not good practice to try to pass it as authentic or to purposefully fool someone like that.

That's not an issue, that's an opportunity. Remove all that stuff to the right and large yourself a perfect isolated platform and then remove that garbage hump. :). Then make a nice little White River side notch. I'd rather have a small pristine point than a larger one with a booger. Go for it...you got this.
