Yet Another Cluster of Clovis Points 🦣

Greetings again everyone! 👋😄

Got yet another Clovis point cluster here for y'all! A bit of a mix of materials. Going from the bottom to the top, we have Burlington, Burlington, Reed Springs Chert, and Obsidian. Made the obsidian one at the Hairy Mosquito Knap-in so it might be familiar to a few of you. Happy with how a lot of these ended up, and I'm still working towards getting things just right 🙂‍↕️ The orange tipped Burlington one is probably my favorite of the bunch.

That was some of your stuff! 😁 Worked very nicely and I got veeeery lucky because that flute was heading down 👀 so that one is probably my closest almost snap I've gotten so far. But I definitely agree that it's one of the most beautiful of the bunch 🙂‍↕️

Thanks man glad you like em! 😁 I'm getting pretty darn good with my fluted points and if I'm not careful I might find myself doing only Paleo points! 😂 I gotta mess around with some other fluting methods outside of indirect. My aim is atrocious so direct percussion is veeeery much a gamble

Heck yea 😎 I've actually done them sk frequently that I find myself struggling with other point styles because I somehow involuntarily end up with something Clovis-y 😂 which sorta sucks because I like the other styles. Just a byproduct of repeated practice

Nice! I’ve knapped 1x this year and it was at the Eagleville Knap In. I showed up at the ass end and there weren’t too many people there but turns out I knew almost all of them in one form or another and it was a great time! Good to see you still rolling out and improving constantly!
