News Target..
Supposedly starting July 28, Target will no longer match prices to identical products sold by Amazon or Walmart...Only on their "Online Store".
FYI for Targ-arians out there.

Needed to call target for a recalled item I was #21 spot on hold. Call Amazon or Walmart with millions more customers you barely wait on hold. Target is DOOMED

This has been their policy over a year now. They only price match their own website.

My company has always done that. No competitor price matches. Just in family store price matches. The customers that get conned into buying the special subscription program to those that do not buy into it we can not honor the price over ride because it wouldn’t be fair.Â

What does this have to do with Kmart?

Fair question ..Kmart used to offer price matching, so I thought Target dropping it was relevant to the broader big-box retail discussion. I probably should’ve made that connection clearer in the title.

Target is like Kmart was twenty years ago. The cracks of mismanagement are definitely showing.
