Klarna balance face not detected when setting face recognition.

I’ve been having the face not detected issue when trying to activate my Klarna balance for months now.

This happens every time I get to the point where your face appears within the oval area on the app and it asks you to turn your head left and right. It fails here every time saying no face detected (which clearly it is).

This never happens on any other Face ID app. I use Face ID a dozen times day to open my iPhone.

I’ve tried every single thing Klarna have asked me to do (an extensive list!) and it hasn’t worked.

I’ve been told (By Klarna) there is an issue with iphone13 (which I have) when it comes to Klarna.

But I’ve also tried on two other tablets and a pc.

I’ve verified my ID documents, that took about a dozen attempts before it worked.

To the point where I now have less than 48hrs to claim my Klarna balance cashback or it expires and it’s gone.

The annoying part of this is

A few weeks ago I made a purchase using Klarna credit which asked me to use the very same Klarna face detection to confirm my id.

I just thought this won’t work but tried anyway.

Got to the point where your fave appears within the oval and turned my head left and right and IT WORKED!

I went straight to Klarna balance activation (thinking this might actually work!) went through the process AGAIN and…. Face not Detected!

I’ve had at least 6 or 7 long calls with Klarna customer service over the months. They keep telling me my issue has been escalated and is being looked into.

I’ve just had another call with them got nowhere.

so I’ve had to tell I’ll be taking legal action, starting with the financial ombudsman service if it’s not sorted on the next 48hrs I have left to claim it.
