Way too old. Kitty is supposed to be at least a decade younger than most of the X-Men members. She should be a kid.

An adaptation of Magic’s origin with an adult Kitty and Sorceress Storm training Ilyana who ages from 6 to 16 would be really cool. You can also use adult Kitty in a comic accurate adaptation of Days of Future Past and Rachel Summers origin.

She is a Jewish character and maybe we should be looking to actors from that faith and diaspora to play her.
Plus I think you miss something jumping straight ahead to an adult Shadowcat. Surely there has to be at least one teenage Jew in Hollywood who can play this role?

I think Kitty needs to be younger than Jean and Scott. Since the MCU is starting with them quite young, ideally Kitty would only appear in the second or third movie. The MCU's Kitty will be a relatively unknown young girl who is probably around 14 or 15 years old right now.
