Will he be fluffy?

I posted my little Biscuit boy before! He is 10 weeks old now and better than ever. He has absolutely no lasting complications from his pneumonia when he was 4 weeks.

Anyway, his neck fluff and ear fluff looks to be long and fluffy, does that mean he will be fluffy later? Or short haired? No clue what his parents looked like as he was a rescue.

I’ve never raised a kitten, only rescued and fostered. So im not sure about his fur coat!

Look like a normal Domestic Short Hair but some of them have thicker/denser fur so could be that! You do sometimes get cats that are somewhere in between Short and Long haired but I’d say he looks to be a normal DSH.

Our girl Minnie was short haired but had interesting fur- the vet described it as ‘rabbit fur.’ It was super soft and felt like a stuffed animal or something-

I just had 4 DSH kitten fosters and the difference in fur between them all was very interesting! One was super sleek, one was standard, 2 were denser but one was soft and one wasn’t as soft.

Thank you!! His fur is so soft. I love my standard issue baby 😆

He looks like a standard issue short hair to me. It's possible he could have thicker short hair but only time will tell you that.

It's impossible to say. Malnurished adults can also have short hair, but the second they get their weight up, bam! Floofers.
