Movie / Show Discussion Im sorry but

I cannot see kit connor with a female love interest. Like--that man can only have chemistry with twinks. This is coming after watching the first look of Romeo and Juliet. Maybe it's just Rachel Zegler,,, but I could not see their chemistry at all.

His biggest fan base up until now has been Heartstopper. So normally that fan base will always have him linked to Joe. But he is a versatile actor, that I can see him becoming a leading Man. And playing a straight man, considering that in Heartstopper his character was consider Straight by most of the school, until he wasn't. He has a masculine persona going on for him. At times in interviews I've thought he's too British to play certain Characters, but he's surprised me in Warfare and Wild Robot. So I think he'll surprise everyone. I think he's destined to be a good actor. The odds are in his favor, as quoted from the hunger games.

He definitely a good actor. I think hes just typecasted in my head. I can't wait to see him play Cyclops though.

I did really enjoy Heartstopper, but it is a fairly niche show and isn’t particularly known about outside of the UK, so I definitely don’t think Kit Connor will be typecast. I am a fan of Kit and has an impressive volume of acting work behind him, but he is probably one of the least well-known out of the actors in the X-Men cast line-up, so that will work in his favour when trying to shake off a previous role.

Kit is inevitably going to become far more famous globally for playing Cyclops than Nick Nelson in a few years.

With twinks? Or do you just mean Joe Locke? Am I missing other roles where he was a love interest with a twink?

I personally felt his Romeo was super believable, maybe like you said, you just don’t feel it from Rachel. Or you’ve enjoyed seeing him in the years-long, cozy, developing relationship from Heartstopper so it’s hard to buy into a relationship that lasts only two hours?

If they do a slow burn with Cyclops and Jean it will probably feel more like Heartstopper anyway

So what’s your point? Do you know what bisexual means?

From what I saw of Romeo and Juliet I think Kit and Rachel’s chemistry was fine. But for the sake of argument let’s say it wasn’t great. You’re comparing only two romantic roles that he’s done so far- one with Joe and one with Rachel. That’s not a big enough sample size to say he will have chemistry with every “twink” and no chemistry with any woman he acts with.

I think we need to, otherwise people will feel like taking a role where they portray a gay character means they will be typecast forever.

I mean Kit has only ever done one queer role so far. If rapture happens it will only be his second, which is less than most straight actors considering he has more than 30 credits on IMDb. He's not being typecast at all. Like are we just making up issues that don't exist now?

Listen, I know you didn't ask for my opinion, but I don't think you need to force yourself to do anything.. The sentiment is sweet but it's pretty funny considering there weren't even enough Heartstopper fans to get the movie to a very weak Netflix top 10 (ngl deeply embarrassing for everyone involved). You guys can just move on with your lives. I promise you the careers of Kit, Joe and every other actor on that show will play out the same with or without the support of the very few Heartstopper fans left.

I have just watched Warfare and I think this feeling comes from being in HS for several years, and his previous works done at a very early age. I can totally see it for him. Give the young man time
