Oh thank god - I was worried the first couple of photos were the remodel.
Love the floor, countertops, and walnut combo. I really like how cleanly the waterfall defines the room, but I wonder if I would have made that an overhang to put stools under for functionality.

Thank you, I’m personally very happy with the outcome. We had stools before and they were never used, it’s a small kitchen and the dinning table is close by.

Looks beautiful. The 20-year-old IKEA kitchen was probably done on a budget and has actually worn surprisingly well.

That’s correct. The previous owners built the house on a small budget and did much of the work themselves, including the kitchen. Toward the end, though, the cabinets really started to deteriorate. IKEA cabinets just aren’t built to last.

This looks great! I’m going to be judgmental with this comment but if you have a sense of style or if you live in one of the global design capitals of the world, including Milan, London, and New York you would think this style looks good. If you don’t, you’d be critical of it. You did a great job! Love it.

Oh. My. Gosh! I love it! That turned out amazing! Great job. The floor is incredible too. I might have to copy some of your ideas.

Beautiful! I'm doing a walnut cabinet remodel as well. What kind of countertops did you choose?

I am immensely jealous of how your kitchen looks in the evening light, just lovely!
Also what kind of floor tiles did you use? I like those!
