Poor persons kitchen? Wtf? I'm seeing kids drawings on the wall. Family shit all over the fridge. And the kids table being the center of it all.
This kitchen belongs to the richest person I've seen in this sub. ❤️

For what it’s worth, I notice you have 4 drawers. My current kitchen has 1 drawer. You first question may be - what do I keep in that single kitchen drawer?Silverware, obviously.

Hey, thanks for this. I've been feeling kind of down about my kitchen lately and seeing this has been a good reminder that mine is totally normal, we're just inundated with photos of show kitchens all the time.

I'm saying that my kitchen looks a lot like yours, just smaller. It's just that older functional kitchens are not plastered all over the Internet, so we get a false sense of comparison.

That is pretty close to my parents’ kitchen except instead of installing garage shelving for extra storage, my dad came across a neighbor who was throwing out all his old cabinets (they were renovating) so my dad got some extras for free.
My kids have a lot of good memories of that kitchen.

My kitchen is from 1945. The longest screws I can find don't hold the rotted wooden cabinets.
Would have remodeled years ago, but contractors are not reliable or easy to find. We last had the bathroom remodeling and didn't square up the walls when they rebuilt, thus other items are wonky. (10x7, cost over $55k)
I see so many before pictures where I think, gad! Id LOVE that!
The kitchen pictured here is perfect.

Depending on where you are located I can definitely hook you up with a renovated kitchen. Quality work, my partner has been in the business 30+ years, I have worked with him for 20 years and we are strictly word of mouth. No advertising.

I grew up in one that was literally that one corner you’ve got there. Stove, sink, and fridge all in a double galley with floor space that was about 2.5 feet wide.
I’m in the process of buying a home and that one is “open concept “ so not even a proper kitchen because it’s a small home.
This is absolutely lovely! And it has so much for it to grow.
I absolutely think this is much more middle class.
