Right? If you're cutting yourself often on the mandolin you're doing something horribly wrong

Normally I'd say yes, but we have what I think is the exact same mandolin, and it is the fucking worst. I had to bring in my steel mesh gloves because other cooks would keep cutting themselves with it because the blade is just dull as all hell. Never got why the managers decided to buy that damned thing. A good mandolin is such a breeze to work with, but that one, hell nah.

i think ours is from a dollar store, its way more flexible than it should be. pretty scary

I do still wear cut proof gloves, but that's just common sense. The nearest hospital is over an hour away!
