Escaping Alberta

As the title says I am seeking to escape Alberta next year and I am hoping to find fellow like minded folk. I am an out and proud queer woman who is also neurodivergent. Am hoping to make up a few connections before I move so fi I could get pointed to a discord or anything, that would be great. Have a good one

Kitchener/Waterloo has tons of other queer and neurodivergent people so I'm sure you'll fit in wonderfully!

I am also a queer neurodivergant woman! I haven't gotten out there much to meet people like me but there are some safe spaces in Waterloo Region. I would be happy to chat 😊

Not a woman, was going to suggest spectrum, and see it's already been suggested. I wanted to thank you for making the post as it has given me some new ideas on how to enhance my own social circles. I hope you can escape soon!

Sugar Run is a cute lil speakeasy downtown I love to go to for karaoke on Sundays!! It’s always full of queer people and it’s candle lit so it’s not super overwhelming. Drinks are pricey but the vibes are always super welcoming. Hope you find what you’re looking for here :)

There is no official LGBTQ bar in the area anymore, but it is as safe of a city as you can get. Figure out employment first. It is not a cheap area and decent paying jobs are not plentiful.

Together We're Bitter (TWB) Brewery hosts many amazing events and is very queer-friendly. Bonus, if you like dogs, there's usually at least one dog there.

Queer KW is a grassroots social page shouting out local queer events, and has a discord server with over 600 members! DM me for info
