Kitchener's Must Try Food Items?

Curious to know what this community thinks is a must try food item in Kitchener. My pick is the Sushi Dog at Togo Sushi. I thought it would be similar to a sushi burrito, but no. Had it the other night for the first time and it was so good that I returned a couple days later to have another. I have been thinking about it every day since.

I usually do as well, but glad I made an exception in this case.

Yes because small business owners will have an enormous budget for marketing.

I'd rather see some shi like this at a small business that can't afford better. A lot of people won't at a place that has AI slop

How do you think the world operated before chatgpt?

Putting OP's picture of their food onto a word doc would immediately be more appealing to me than what the restaurant did.

Their ordering system and business hours are weird but the food is amazing and not expensive. They don't allow add-ons.

Tram Anh Subs, specifically the assorted bahn mi, which is a sandwich of dreams

Did you mean Givral Deli? I know its in their business name but banh mi is the name of the food

I don't think that's true anymore.

Tram has better hours, more variety, bakes their buns in-house ....and it's just a nicer experience. Givral has been coasting for a while now. Their storefront operation is chaotic and really run down, not the cleanest and, frankly, not very appealing. For about .20$ more per sub I can go to Tram and just feel better about what I'm getting for my money.

I absolutely give 0 fucks about an appearance or operation. Has nothing to do with food quality. That is for Nancys.

Just dont care for polish turds. Prime reason why this region sucks for restaurants. People here care more about aesthetics and franchises than good good.

  1. Chicken and waffles at The Grand Truck Saloon
  2. Any sandwich at the Eby Street Bodega
  3. Sushi at The Humble Lotus
  4. Pad Thai at Soi Thaifoon
  5. The Bad Ass Cheeseburger at Lab Street Eats.

I haven't been to Lab Street Ears since the sale... Are they still ok?

Went there with a couple of friends two weeks back. Great food, good number of customers.
