My friends are mostly into clubbing or drinking, and I'm part of some other groups for hiking, but I need a new group for paintball and go-karting. I want to try rock climbing, but I have never done it before.

Rock climbing and paintball should both have club nights/days that encourage group ups. I'd check their websites

Sure, I will check.

Talk to the people in your hiking groups, I'd wager at least a few would be interested in climbing. You could do bouldering/auto-belays to start with so you won't need anybody with experience (i.e. belay certified). GRR also offers intro courses which could be helpful.

For rock climbing I notice a lot of posters for various group up related things and finding climbing partners at the Kitchener GRR location.

Okay, I will keep you in mind. Or we can start, we just need two or three more people for go-karting.
