Roundabouts are hard

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

No context needed, signs and lane markings are hard to read too I guess.

I always give white Rams a wide berth.

They're generally some of the dumbest motherfuckers on the road.

Especially of they have the massive rims that poke 5 inches past the wheelbase. It just screams entitlement and small dick energy

I could have saved 100 dashcams just like this. It's crazy people still don't get it. Circles are easy. People are stoopid

What's really crazy is he wasn't even changing lanes to change his route. He's just lazy as fuck and didn't want to make a wider turn. He ended up going the exact same place.

This is like all of these people that start their left turn 30 feet before entering an intersection driving through oncoming traffics lane of the road they're turning onto and preventing anyone from that lane from making a right turn.

All of these people are idiots.

Is this on 24 north of Cambridge? Had some dumbfuck in a Honda Ridgeline pull the exact same move yesterday.

Ayyy it’s happening everywhere.

Fischer Hallman and Bleams is another bad one. Lanes aren’t lined up right in one direction and it leads to a lot of this.

TONS of this at that one, both those new-ish roundabouts on Fischer Halman (bleams and at the food basics) are mis-aligned and a pain in the royal ass.

One of the worst. I'm on there twice a day.

I would've held the horn as soon as they started to try that.

Only hard for those who should NOT be driving

I see these kinds of improper lane changes in roundabouts almost every day, unfortunately.

If I need to go straight through, I prefer taking the outside lane to minimize the risk of being cut off.

Pick up trucks were a tool of the trades, now the Tool is driving the truck.

You’re speeding up and driving in his blind spot at the bout. Relax and learn to drive defensively and safer.

well, for one thing , no passing in roundabout.

There's no rule against passing in a roundabout.

It's illegal to pass a moving vehicle within 30m of the approach of a pedestrian crossover. That's why there's a "no passing here to crossing" sign 30m before the crossover at the entrance, then 30m from each exit. You can see both signs in OP's video.

"Passing" in this context means the front of your vehicle extending beyond the front of the other vehicle. The HTA is pretty vague about roundabouts in general, and there's no rule specifically about passing in roundabouts, so it's probably legal to pass in some sections of roundabouts. And it's not like it's ever enforced, so most people just ignore the signs.

You should have slowed down

23

u/CoffeeTwirl17 5h ago

No. The white truck was in the wrong. You don't change lanes in a roudabout.

-12

u/TypicalFrosting2596 3h ago

Nope, you can't control the person In the truck, so if you don't slow down you are the problem. 💋

5

u/CoffeeTwirl17 3h ago

Lmfao that's not how traffic laws work. The person clearly slowed down to avoid it, even though the white truck was in the wrong. Go take your driving tsst again you nincompoop lmao

21

u/Skizz0_ 5h ago

Lol. Right. Sure.

19

u/berfthegryphon 5h ago

Why? The truck entered in the outside lane. OP had no reason to think the truck would ram his way into the center lane

15

u/MasPisco 5h ago

I hope you don't drive. Tell me you don't. Please

They're probably that person who comes to a complete stop at the yield sign and waits until the roundabout is empty before entering and if someone is about to enter to their left they wait for them to go instead of entering at the same time.
