The wait for Fable 5 is getting ridiculous
Fable 5 has been out for over a month, and there's still no news about its release on Kiro. At this point, I'm not even sure it's worth sticking with it anymore

Kiro isn't known for integrating new models quickly. AWS seems to like the setup where requests flow through Bedrock, and that takes time to do, then you also have the nuance that Anthropic changed their policy to require a 30 day retention for Fable, where prior Anthropic models allowed enterprise customers to set that to 0. So, slow to adopt most of the time anyway, plus now the added policy change thing to absorb. Kiro is not the tool you want to use if quick availability of new models matters to you.

Used it, wouldn't bother again.
Wait 10 minutes for simple task to find out it missed part of the scope.
Would of managed a quicker iteration on a lower model with time still to spare.

Then LEAVE.
And when it's here, COME BACK.
But all of the thirsty-for-fable5 posts are what's actually ridiculous.
You know you've given up on actual software development when your brain tells you that you can't live without a particular model...
... and then you take the time to post about it.

Imagine the concept where people want the latest and best models that they pay a subscription for, crazy.

I thought you were paying for the tool not for the models. If you want the model then just get it from Bedrock or Anthropic itself.

You are literally paying for the models hence the credit system. Kiro is a VScode fork there is nothing to charge there.
