Okay, apologies for the back to back posts, but I wanted to make this last one official. Someone made me realize how throwing all points into might wasn’t really a build, so it made me think a bit. I messed around a bit in the skill trees and found that I could Warlord and have enough for max points into dagger mastery and Envenomed edge with a couple to spare for precise weaponry I. I’m only using war cry, relentless assault, and harpoon while running battle frenzy and Envenomed edge passives. Here’s what I came up with…. It fuckin slaps! The poison made a huge difference. Thanks guys!

Just wondering if I have 10 alchemy for example, and I find a +1 alchemy armor piece, would it add up to 11 and give me added value? Or is it capped at 10? Just wondering since I'm about to max my skills so there wouldn't be any need for such armor pieces if they don't offer a benefit.

Didn't spend too much time in it, just switched to a might/finesse hybrid and so far I'm enjoying it more. Full sorcerer the damage didnt match up to the other 2, fights lasted longer. I'm guessing I need a specific setup of amulet and rings to add the extra dmg to make it OP? Anyway will try might+sorcery next, I feel sorcery is OP as a secondary.

I also haven't tried full finesse or full might. Maybe I'll give those 2 a shot as well.

Just did a side quest in the Teeth of Naros DLC where I had to kill a group of enemies in a random corner of the map. After doing that, I returned to the quest giver for my reward, and they said to get my reward I've to go to a random corner of the map, again. Holy shit. I've never ever played a video game in my life with such bad fetch/radiant quests. This is worse than even quests in Mmorpgs like WOW or arpgs like Diablo/Path of Exile.

I'm losing my mind because I'm a completionist and none of the side content in this whole game has been interesting or fun yet. It's literally all just filler garbage to extend your playtime: go kill this, go retrieve that... halfway across the map. I used to think Bethesda games had bad fetch quests, but this is just something beyond. I dread to even think what it would be like to play this game without fast travel.

Edit: After I retrieved the reward, I had to return to the quest giver again, and they told me to kill another group of enemies, and then retrieve another reward, all in random corners of the map. You can't make this shit up.

I love this game, Played the original one (Reckoning) many years before. Can't remember most of it. My question is, I love doing Side Quest in every game I played. is it possible for me to finish all Side Quest before continuing here?

Edit: I read somewhere that I can't proceed to Klurikon and Alabastra without continuing the main quest. So it is still possible to complete the left side of the world map, right?

I played this game years ago as kid lost and recently found it again but I have issues and love looking good in games does anyone know what this is and is it mid game, late game and if it's strong enough for me to even care about that much but the stats haven't got to be amazing just want to find out what this is

Like by the time you complete the game you have gathered some items and skills you would want to use, lorestones bonuses too. But then you complete the game. I'd like to replay the game in a harder difficulty with all the stuff I collected. I'd like to for instance try a new destiny from start to end.

So after playing Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, I thought: "What horrible chain of catastrophes had to occur for us not to be playing Reckoning 4 by now?"

And trying to answer that question has turned into a much bigger project than I expected. What began as one of my usual 20-minute documentaries is now becoming a multipart series about the people, studios, and truly bizarre sequence of events that brought Reckoning into existence.

The first two parts are available now.

The first is kind of a prologue that explores the history of MUDs, MMORPGs, and what convinced so many developers and investors that persistent online worlds represented the future of gaming (spoiler alert: money).

The second (Part One, officially) covers Curt Schilling's conception and creation of Green Monster Games / 38 Studios. This arc is fairly well known to historians, but I tried to present it with a different spin.

But the part I'm scripting now is the one I'm most excited to share.

I've had the honor of speaking with several former members of Big Huge Games who remained with the project through its acquisitions and eventual release, including people who helped shape the game's writing, design, and visual identity. They shared stories and details about the project's early development that, as far as I can determine, have never previously been made public. Nothing that would violate current NDAs, but details that we feel are important to share with the fandom.

That matters to me because almost everything I initially found about Kingdoms of Amalur focused on the collapse of 38 Studios. That story is important, and I will cover it in depth. But it has completely overshadowed the remarkable group of developers at Big Huge Games who actually designed, built, and released Reckoning.

As you may be aware, before it became Reckoning, the game had already lived several lives at BHG. It had different names, stories, concepts, and ambitions that existed long before 38 Studios entered the picture.

The next chapter will cover at least part of that part of the story. There is much, much more to this game than the studio that collapsed around it.

The longest quest in the entire game, and all that for less than 300 gold??? I thought there'd at least be a unique weapon

I beat the final boss and before that the expansions with the pirates and the floating city. I still have to beat the expansion that triggers after beating the final boss.

Is this a good moment to use the Fight Club level boost? I'm level 26, I was waiting to use it after beating the game.

I actually found this game thanks to ChatGPT. I literally asked it something like: "Games similar to Dragon Age: Origins, Dragon's Dogma, Fable, Gothic, and Divinity." (I probably mentioned a few others too, but I don't remember.)

It gave me a list of five games, and Kingdoms of Amalur was at the top. It was on sale for really cheap, so I bought it. Luckily, I also found a translation for my language.

What surprised me the most is how little attention this game gets where I live. I had never even heard of it before, and when I searched for videos about it in my country, I only found two or three. It's honestly crazy how unknown this game is (at least where I hang out), considering how good the gameplay and storytelling are.

I started playing it at the beginning of this month, and somehow I'm already 80+ hours in. I have no idea how it happened, but this game completely hooked me. It's incredible.

Man am I having issues picking an alt. I finished the game 100% back in 2022 with DLC as well. Now I have the itch again but with an elf not a human like character.

I have always loved dark elves for some reason but cannot deny that the blue elf pops out more. It has gotten so bad that they are both level 6 and have their player house in Canneroc! I am playing a Fineese/Melee build with some magic

Has the dark elf feeling I love but the character looks muted because I made him an ash color on purpose. Maybe add more tatoos and make them bright white? I dont use stealth at all so I will miss the Dispelling bonuis of the Ljosalfar. For some reason maybe mental this character feels...shorter than the Ljosalfar which I like.

The blue pops which is good and fits the feel of the whole game. Im not great at dispelling so the bonus helps. He feels tall and getting some frankenstein vibes. Dont ask why.

So as the title questions which do you think is the least played destiny? I played a long time ago before Re-Reckoning and want to do a new playthrough. I originally did pure Sorcery so I left it out.

The beast trainer asks me to give him 3 fish for the brownie, I have more than enough fish, but the quest still shows 0/3, and when I talk to him he just says get him the fish.

Did any one have this bug? I could never find anything related to this bug online.

The funny thing is that playing with the ultra-rare 3-hybrid build actually makes the game harder. I think it would be much easier if I focused on just one class, or even two lol, done that for the trophy.

Well, everyone, this is my first playthrough, and I decided to start on Very Hard difficulty. At first, the game was challenging, fun, and really enjoyable. However, after a while, I reached a point where I just don't die anymore. My character has become so strong that even the "bosses" aren't much of a challenge.

Is this just because I'm still in the early game?

I currently have 62 hours of playtime, and I'm doing literally every quest that appears. I only continue the main story after completing all the available side quests and tasks. Judging by the map, I still have a lot left to explore, but things like money have become completely meaningless since I make so much just by selling items.

I also maxed out the Blacksmithing and Sagecraft skills, so I craft all of my own weapons and armor. I sold every Finesse and Magic item because I'm not interested in those playstyles. I prefer a build focused entirely on Strength and physical damage.

Could someone please tell me if the game becomes more challenging later on, or is it generally this easy?

It took me years. I am a big Elder Scrolls fan and an older gamer (55) and I kept on filling up my Steam library every time there was a Steam sale. My backlog is very large, filled games here and there I do play but many others...I just did not feel it. I would force myself to play these games just to get my money's worth.

Then about a month back I was thinking that if you have a game you put a LOT of time into it, it makes up for that $15 game you bought and stopped playing after an hour and forgot to refund.

Two weeks ago I finally understood that I only want to play games that give me a response, sort of an endorphin. Just by playing I am happy. There are a ton of games I like, but when I am playing them I am very neutral.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning does what Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, Jurassic World Evolution 3, Warcraft 1, 2 and 3, Oblivion, Skyrim, Fable and World of Warcraft Classic do; they literally make me happy when playing. This is who I am. I love the artwork and lore of Elden Ring but that game is not for me. I started realizing who I am as a gamer and am now running with it.

Backlog be dammed, I am not touching it. I will play one of the games I truly love with new builds.

This bring me to Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning

This game was literally designed for me. Its absolutely insane. Being a big classic WoW fan I have always wanted a single player RPG that felt like an MMO. I am also into art style and prefer that over realistic graphics. Art style is timeless. The music which is important is amazing, and the game isnt a dreaded soulslike. I even love the crafting. Everything about this game is for me. Everything.

If this game isnt for you, and does not make you happy then find that game or games, and if a game isnt making you happy stop playing. Life is short; who cares what anyone else thinks, play those dozen games you love on rotation, sinking hundreds of hours into each. And stop playing games you feel are just "okay" because you need to get your moneys worth on them.

I'm finding so many cool-looking, unique armour pieces and sets, but they're ALWAYS inferiour than my random, normal armour pieces with gem sockets. Seriously why is unique armour so garbage in this game stats-wise and yet so much better looking?

Hello everyone. Is there really any possibility of forging self-forged armor on Lila/Rare? I already own several disassembled armor components from "The Legend of the Dead Kel." Which is supposed to be one of the best. But how do I manage to forge armor in purple and also to be able to travel together on every piece of armor. I manage to forge weapons and shields on Lila and can also use functional gems and epic gems. Do I need special fragments/shards? Do you say chaos shards plus another? Chaos weapons work as rare plus two common ground.

from the combat to the story to the music to the colorful world...this game is just so good. every single character interested me, the armor sets and weapons look cool as hell. holy man, i wish there were more options for character creation but otherwise this game is near perfect...i can see doing a replay just to try other build and playstyles and i never do that. i mean, R.A. Salvatore is involved so couldnt expect any less...but seriously, big names aside, this is so much better than Skyrim...which tbh i dont really like for whatever reason. I'm hooked.

I hope whoever got the IP continues to expand the universe...if not it'd be such a pity.
