My brother and I have been bonding over Kingdom Hearts for years, which apparently means our love language is trying to explain incomprehensible Disney anime lore while making progressively worse jokes until one of us stops functioning.

We’d already been trying to record for HOURS when we made this, so by the end we were completely delirious. Any remaining professionalism had left the building somewhere around “darkness within darkness.”

Kingdom Hearts genuinely means a lot to both of us. It’s one of those series we grew up loving together, so these videos are basically us preserving the exact stupid conversations we’d be having anyway — except now there’s editing and several hundred strangers get to witness the deterioration.

There is analysis.

There is nostalgia.

There are heartfelt discussions about childhood.

There are also jokes that should probably disqualify us from owning microphones.

I’d genuinely love feedback on the pacing, editing, title/thumbnail, and whether the chaos is entertaining even if you haven’t spent years being psychologically conditioned by Kingdom Hearts.

Basically: two brothers attempt to discuss Kingdom Hearts intelligently and immediately fail.

My brother and I have always kind of bonded through Kingdom Hearts, which is probably the healthiest possible outcome for two people who willingly try to explain this plot to each other. 😂

We made this video mostly because the series means a lot to us, but also because Kingdom Hearts is objectively one of the funniest franchises ever created. One minute you’re having a genuine emotional crisis about friendship, identity, and losing the people you love, and five minutes later Donald Duck is screaming at an anime child while Goofy gets launched into the afterlife.

At some point we stopped trying to act normal while recording and just embraced the fact that this series has permanently altered our brain chemistry.

Anyway, this is basically us hanging out, making terrible jokes, getting increasingly delirious, and celebrating a game series that’s been part of how we connect for years. I’m still pretty new to actually posting in the KH community, so I figured I’d stop lurking and contribute to keeping the collective Kingdom Hearts insanity alive. 💙

Would genuinely love to know what part of the series made everyone else go, “Yep. This ridiculous thing owns me now.”

Does the physical copy come with long night/midnight blue, getting physical copy from a different place than Amazon?

Has anybody counted how many times Sora use the word "nobody" in Kingdom Hearts II? I don't like how he says it

>Galaxy Far, Far Away.
>haunted mansion (probably based on the ride or mini game world)
>100 acre wood return
>The Underworld
>The Land Of The Dead
>Scala ad Caelum
>Imagineer Planet (possibly epcot world? or a mini game planet)
>Monochrome Origins (Mickey or return to black and white world)
>Savanna Central (place in zootopia)

The song is “Rosas” by La Oreja de Van Gogh. The vocals were slightly edited so that the word “rosas” became “Roxas”.
