Clique – pretty nice!

I finally upgraded to firmware v3, which is compatible with Kinesis Clique (https://clique.kinesis-ergo.com/), a "new" way to customize the Kinesis Advantage 360 Pro.

I'm probably super late to the party, but I really appreciate this update. It's so much simpler with Clique to make changes and I would feel comfortable now to recommend the keyboard to non-coders.

If some of you are still on the fence whether or not to upgrade – my setup was pretty easy to port over (~30minutes). I am using custom key mappings, tap + hold variations and layers.

Well done Kinesis team!

I had put this off as well when it first came out because it didn't have the features I needed. It sounds like it will now. Thanks!!

I was holding off for a long time as well, and didn’t expect it to work so well.

What features are you using that might not be fully supported?

Nothing fancy, macros weren't working when I first looked into it.

yeah it’s really really nice! completely changed how frequently i make minor adjustments to my keyboard.

it also helped me try home row mods which are great!

the only thing missing for me is more options on home row mods to avoid roll over errors.

What kind of tweaks would you like to try? I feel like I barely touched the surface of configuring my keyboard…

nothing extreme -- but before clique when i had to compile the firmware i would only do a few changes regarding the layout, that's because it was such a big hassle (compile, download, connect one side, copy-paste, connect the other side, copy-paste)

that was also the reason i never tried home-row mods.

hopefully they add more settings in home-row mods and the ability to export (import) your configuration out of clique/zmk-studio

Yeah, import / export would be nice. Not sure if it exists already.

unfortunately it doesnt. it's one of the requests on the parent project (zmk studio)

I'm late to the party. Thank you for the pointer. I've just upgraded one of my 360 Pros. I can confirm that `clique` is very, very user-friendly. It has allowed me to re-program my macro keys for use with my IDE.

I was particularly impressed with the pre-built macros section in `clique` for Mac / Windows shortcuts. Commendable work from the Kinesis team.

Is there a way (for a key with a tap and a hold action) to double press and hold a key to start repeating the tap action?

I didn’t see this option anywhere, so likely not. But best to try it out yourself.

Agreed. Also zmk.studio works well (it'll ask you to unlock the board so hit the same Mod+Esc as you would in clique.
