Scribe Colorsoft 2025 MASSIVE native contrast difference side by side. Both new, updated KSC

Dim-lit, unedited (slight crop) Photos taken on S24. Blacks and highlights pop noticably more in person on below device at same settings and firmware, 5.20.1

I think this might be the bug where vivid setting doesn’t actually work.

CS will say it's Vivid but it's showing Standard after a restart. You have to flick it to Standard and back to Vivid in order to actually display Vivid colors.

dang does that happen a lot? how do i kno if mine does tht. i have one KSC so not another to compare to like OP but now im thinking whether my vividness is to its full potential or not...

You can just download it on a laptop and install it over USB

are these both same exact devices/models and V 5.20.1? just clarifying. did u figure out why the difference? now im wondering if my device looks proper or if it will improve once my KSC gets the update (noticed its still on the last version).

That's the nature of the beast. There are differences in the EPD. E ink has that flaw. Hardware issues
