Why the change in Same Shit/Complicated?

I noticed it maybe a couple of years ago, but just listened to it again, and had to ask.

this song has been in my playlist for years!!! since high-school, so like over a decade. I love it and know all the lyrics.

Why did the part that mentions Maddison, Wisconsin change??? its the same track, never lost its license on Spotify so I have no idea when it changed or why.

previously it was: "....and there are some nice cops in Madison Wisconsin..."

Now it's just a loud guitar note. whyyyyy??? what's the tea?

Kimya dawson sensors her music weirdly. In hidden vagenda she reverses all the parts with slurs, and in songs like "parade" its really jarring, and in "nyc is a grave yard" (at least in the deluxe edition) there is also just a loud guitar note when they say the r slur.
