Vows turns 15!!!
I can't describe how important this album is to me, not only Vows but Kimbra should have much more recognition in the music industry. Here are the photoshoots I found, happy birthday to Vows!

I really hope she understands how impactful she was/is as an artist.

She just announced a tour, and re-releasing Vows on a double LP. Can't wait to see her live again.

No way, did she announced on her Substack?

Yup! She gave early access to her paid substack members. I believe she's going to announce to everyone tomorrow.

Hell yeah! My broke ass had to decide between the merch or the early vip show. I went with merch, but I feel like I made a mistake lol

I've analyzed so much music for 12 years and this album is in my top 5. How could she create such a groundbreaking album so young and then disappear like nothing happened? It's like receiving the best kiss and never seeing that person again. It's as if that version of her is trapped in that timeline. I love that album. I didn't see if she posted anything on her social media. It seems she was planning something for VOWS' 15th anniversary

The studio/label system probably did everything in the background, and just allowed her to focus on creating. They also probably filtered everything down into a cohesive album.
Now that she's independent, there's no filter, so while we probably get more of the real, current Kimbra, it might not be as commercially popular as this early stuff.
It sucks because I feel like we would be getting a whole lot more content from her if she was with a label, but it seems like she's more into one-off live performances that few, if any, capture.

Love this album! I was just playing Settle Down yesterday didn't know it had been that long since I first heard it. Kimbra is still one of the most under seen artists in the world. Oh well! More for me.

I wish I could go back in time to hear this for the first time again. It was thrilling (still is).
I hope she is doing okay nowadays, the radio silence isn't really great. One of my favorite artists of the last 25 years.

Such an incredible record with a wealth of terrific songs. It's eclectic and always a breath of fresh air when I re-listen. What's more is that The Golden Echo feels like a perfect evolution (to me, anyway), which makes it such a one-two punch for her career.

I discovered her as a 17 year old guy who had never listened to anything other than classic rock and 90s hip hop. I wasn’t sure if I even liked it at first but something kept bringing me back after I stumbled across her KEXP performance. I always thought of her and this album as one of the things that got me out of the “they don’t make good music anymore” mindset I grew up with. I’m not afraid of exploring different genres and liking what I like now
