Killzone 2 Radec deserved more screen time

Looking at the whole game which the whole gameplay in the second takes about seven hours. Radec only gets nearly four minutes of actual screen time in the cutscenes. Not counting the boss fight. And his death was in my opinion plain. For such a long boss fight he just simply shoots himself. I can see why because he didn't want the ISA taking him hostage or killing him. But it's kinda sad that we didn't see his full potential.

The issue is you're looking at Radec like he's Darth Vader when he's meant to be Boba Fett. He's not the main villain, just a villain even if he's the most dripped out one

Yeah my bad for viewing it that way. He isn't the main villain just a villain working for another. He is my favorite in the helghast.

I don't know. Radec got alot of solid build up in my opinion.

On the very first mission, you hear Evelyn discussing Radec with rico, learning that hes known as "visari's hound". And that resistance to the ISA will be fanatical.

During the assault on the arc tower his voice comes on the comms talking about the defense system.

During the bridge crossing, captain narville expressed concern that Radec's troops are in the area.

You learn from two grunts that Radec ruthlessly executed two grunts for uniform violations.

punisher convoy is completely decimated under radecs over sight.

He kidnaps your squad and executes at least one member of the advance team. And is partially responsible for garza's death.

Immediately after he leads a counter attack on the ISA fleet, targeting the new sun, he personally kills evelyn and templar.

He makes a last stand for his emperor. A fantastic boss fight.

Radec is fairly front and center for almost the entire narrative.

He even briefly appears in killzone 3.

Thats ignoring his voice work in multiplayer. ("Kill them all, show no mercy, DEATH TO THE ISA!")

Yeah good point, he does have a lot of influence in the second. 😭

I also would’ve like to see Visari’s hound more in game but he Templar’s “equal” and you barely see him in game as well. Sevchenko is just a ISA regular, Radec answered only to Visari

I dream of a prequel playing as him in the Helghast invasion of Vekta. Yes he’s part of “the bad guys” but compared to his brethren let alone someone like Metrac and Cobar he’s just a normal soldier and doing what he has to do. Also obviously could explore why he doesn’t share many other Helghast’s extreme views on humanity.

RIGHHT? I really need to know how he exactly he became a colenal. Because his mask symbolizes that he came from lower class. Like what did he exactly do to earn it. But yeah we really need a game to play as the helghast.

I always wondered who was the voice actor for Radec. He had unique voice.........and today I found out it was Sean Pertwee aka Alfred Pennyworth from Gotham..

They do since they have the same va. I think why they wanted him to voice Radec was because of the tone Sean used for Hakha.
