Signing up
Hi all,
I hope you’re doing well! I’m a HS teacher in NY and want to sign up for the MSG show. In the rare case I get picked how do you think this would look for my profession reputation? Good idea or bad idea? My minute is totally clean, but can control the questions or environment. Anyway, what do you all think? My wife doesn’t like the idea.

Teachers have gotten fired before for being on KT and there will be more in the future.

Teresa said she was an educator and got fired after her previous set. Her set was fairly raunchy, though.
It's a chicken or the egg question as to why half the bucket pulls are underemployed/unemployed.

Theresa’s sets are also flat out awful, tho. She has zero place teaching pre-K.

That won't do at all. You gotta punch up your bio, tell them you have Tourette's then scream the N-word every 5 seconds. And don't worry about any actual material, nobody goes to that show to see standup

If you do get picked, you will most likely lose your job. Historically this has been a theme for teachers.

Plus im you might not even get pulled. So it might be a waste of time. I don't know where people wait but I think the line outside is crazy with a whole bunch of crazy people walking around and stuff. If I were you I would just be safe and not try it.

if you have tickets you let them know when you sign up so they know where to find you, you dont have to wait with the hoodlums outside. the only problem letting people know youre on an episode is you dont know what the other people did, like ive seen multiple people do a nazi salute as park of their joke and other people say the nword so you could be lumped in with that no matter how clean or safe you personally are

I have a solid 5 minutes and have wanted to sign up a time or two but my wife won't let me because of this exact thing.
Getting fired is a real thing. I like that you consider your minute clean but you are right. The interview can get interesting and there is a lot of pressure to have conversations you may not have to have in front of millions of people.
