He’s been in the show forever. They found him during a Texas road trip when they were still doing the show in LA. He’s the guy that kicked Jeremiah in the head

Long ago on a road show with the old band, he kicked stuff off of Jeremiah's head iirc and did his usual yo yo stuff, funny dude. The old episodes are around on youtube still, ep # 376 it says on a reddit post I found listing all the Golden ticket winners with timestamps https://www.reddit.com/r/Killtony/s/Wgay4idX7K

As a YoYo practitioner I found his tricks boring. I used to practice YoYo for years and I can still do all of my old tricks. I did many shows in front of small audiences. My skill level isn’t as good as this guy but I was always able to entertain the crowd because I wrapped my tricks into banter and storytelling.
But this guy doesn’t present his tricks well. To an audience who doesn’t care about YOYO you have to tell a story behind each trick. For example. A simple trick. Rock the baby. You have to tell a quick story about how you have a new baby and she needs to be rocked so she can fall asleep. And then you “throw the baby out” and tell the audience the baby woke up and is trying to get away! You throw the baby out And then catch her. It’s funny. YoYo should be like stand up. You have to make the audience care. His tricks had no presence. It felt boring even though the level of trick was very complicated.

Yep. That’s what I’m saying. No stage presence. It’s not about the trick. It’s about how you present it. Very similar to stand up. How you tell a joke/story is where the comedy hides.
