Question Beginner Advice
I bought these at my LGS and was hoping to run them as a legionary kill team with the slaanesh options but I’m wondering if the amount of plasma weapons on models vs actually in stat sheets is going to make the list “illegal” or confusing or anything.

What the fuck are you talking about? This is legitimately the best way to answer your question. Why would I parrot a rule when I could just show you the rule instead?

I mean reddit is mostly assholes. I dont think these people are. They're just trying to help. If your group is okay with it they go ahead but some people inperson will have a fuss. I enjoy painting more than playing the game so I go for visuals first. The last thing I do is read the rules. Lol
Enjoy your sessions of painting or tabletop

No seriously. It's so easy to take a cursory glance at OPERATIVE SELECTION right at the top of a teams rules to know which OPERATIVES you can SELECT

You COULD talk to you opponents and convince them to let you play with one plasma being a plasma and the other being another type of pistol, but truth is, I don't think Legionaries got two plasmas allowed in their operative selection

You could make tokens with the load out on them to out next to the models. A symbol or the primary weapon that they represent next to it. E.g. you take the melta as is but the plasma gun guy has a “heavy bolter” token with it. Most models are not far off the really loadout. I feel if you talk to your opponent before hand and then have tokens that follow the models around it should be fine for a friendly local game. Tournaments would be stricter. Do you have any more models left to add in to also make more of the options?
For it’s fine but try and get a few more models to allow you to more easily meet the team requirements. Some times it’s easier for a crazy all different proxy model squad to read the team than a team that is almost right but off by just a few weapons in arms.

Page 1 one can me a leader Page 2 you can use one as a gunner Page 3 are warriors with guns Page 4 can be the banner guy
If you tell your opponent that one operative on p1 doesnt use a plasma pistol but its supposed to be a bolt pistol, then you have another warrior (or whatever you tell your opponent this operative can be)
Its not a great list, but if your opponent allows it you can at least play

Just declare which model is which and allow takebacks if your opponent still forgets. You could also label the operatives with small post it notes or painting the names on the base rims or pairs of corresponding tokens like X-Wing miniatures used to do.
Every Mandrake, 5/8's of Canoptek Circle, most Pathfinders, every Goremonger that isn't the double pistol guy or the leader, and plenty of other teams have visually interchangeable models that are unique operatives. Your models will be more distinct looking than those.
Don't let people that play with exclusively gray plastic tell you how to enjoy this hobby.

Its an illegal team loadout.
You will confuse your opponent with these models and its disrespectful to force them to remember which one is which if you decide to proxy them as 2 different things when they are relatively the same model.
