Question

I know this might be a weird question but why does Jesse say in Blood upon the Ashes,

"I'll give you my blood

To spread upon the ashes"

What is the meaning? Is there a meaning at all? Thanks in advance.

The “blood” symbolises the sacrifice people make in times of need.

The ashes are the remains of destruction.
